‘President didn’t storm out of meeting with Chibok parents,’ Garba Shehu says

Some accounts from the attendees of the meeting had it that Buhari appeared to be angry with the parents and walked out of the meeting when he was done talking.

The Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu has denied reports that the president stormed out of a January 14, 2016, meetingwith the parents of the abducted Chibok girls in Abuja.

Some accounts from attendees of the meeting had it that Buhari appeared to be angry with the parents and walked out when he was done talking.

Shehu made the denial via a series of tweets today, January 15. Read the tweets below:

An earlier denial had also been made by Bring Back Our Girls leader, Oby Ezekwesili who however said that the president didn’t connect with the parents emotionally.
