President Muhammadu Buhari

The comment was made by a BBOG leader, Aisha Yesufu on Thursday, August 25, 2016, after the group was prevented from entering the Presidential Villa.

“Mr President you are a failure, I dare President Muhammadu Buhari, you should stand up and behave like a man,” she said according to The Cable.

“We are tired of hearing no credible intelligence, I can say that the president is not doing anything,” she added.

President Buhari had earlier said that the government doesn’t know where the girls are.

The BBOG group also marched to the Villa on Monday, August 22, but were prevented from seeing the president.

This led some members of the group to say that they regret voting Buhari into office.

Agitations for the girls’ rescue were renewed after Boko Haram, on August 14, released a video showing 50 of the girls alongside a terrorist who demanded the release of detained members of the sect in exchange for the girls.

Meanwhile, the BBOG group has vowed to embark on protests to the Villa every 72 hours until the government speaks to them on its plans to rescue the girls.
