Mamman Daura is not in charge, I am – President says [Video]

Daura is one of those who reportedly has the President's ears and calls the shots at the Villa.

The President’s wife, Aisha Buhari had earlier alleged that some powerful people have taken over her husband’s government.

According to The Cable, “Daura is the son of Buhari’s elder brother, but since Daura is three years older, the president is ‘awkwardly’ his uncle.”

Buhari, who was asked if it is true that his nephew called the shots in the presidency, said “I don’t know where they get their news from.”

“I stood for the election, I visited every local government in Nigeria, I travelled by road, by air, and so on, and we had one of the most credible election. So whoever feels he has lost somehow is his own problem, I have no problem,” he said.

Buhari later slammed his wife for saying his government has been hijacked by powerful people, adding that she belongs in the kitchen.

Speaking on those agitating for a Biafra nation, the President asked the aggrieved people to join his party (APC), so that they can win elections and make their point in a democratic way.
