President lands in Adamawa for anti-corruption summit

The president will present an address at the opening of the state's maiden Anti-Corruption Summit.

The president will present an address at the opening of the state's maiden Anti-Corruption Summit which will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday, February 21.

The theme of the summit is titled "Performance  Based Governance: Transparency, Accountability and Social Value" and will be chaired by Alhaji Ahmed Joda.

President Buhari was welcomed at the airport on Tuesday by Adamawa State governor, Jibrilla Bindow; Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai; and Bauchi State governor, Mohammed Abubakar.

The acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu and the Chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), Prof. Bolaji Owasanoye, are expected to make presentations at the summit.

Second working visit in one week

The president's visit to Adamawa is his second working visit away from Abuja in the space of 5 days.

He was a Special Guest of Honour at an induction ceremony of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) in Kaduna Stateon Thursday, February 15, 2018.

NAF's 'TSAIGUMI' Unmanned Aerial Vehicle was inducted into service at the Nigerian Air Force Base in Kaduna.
