Senator Jeremiah Useni has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to use radical measures to ensure the success of his war against corruption.

Useni said further that people who stole Nigeria’s money should be dealt with the same way Jerry Rawlings dealt with corrupt officials in Ghana.

Rawlings in 1979 executed senior military officers and former heads of state in a bid to rid Ghana of corruption.

“Public officers stole a lot of money. As far as I am concerned, such people need to be dealt with the very way Jerry Rawlings did in Ghana,” Useni said in Jos, Plateau State on Saturday, October 1, Daily Trust reports.

“We must support what President Buhari is doing. We must recover stolen funds,” he added.

Meanwhile, Senator Dino Melaye has urged Buhari to grant amnesty to looters who are willing to return stolen funds within six months.
