The Nigerian Minister of Aviation, Osita Chidoka has said that the abducted Chibok girls may not be found.

Chidoka made the statement on Thursday, March 5, during an interview with BBC Hardtalk.

“Boko Haram is a terror group, it has decimated (sic) the girls across vast areas of land in Borno State…Maybe we will find them, maybe not,” Chidoka said when asked if the missing girls would ever be rescued.

“…We are not going to allow them hold territories anymore. With the support of the multinational force, Nigeria is able to push them back out of territories in Nigeria,” Chidoka said.

A representative of the Nigerian government, also on March 5, held a meeting with relatives of the missing girls to assure them that rescue efforts were still on to bring their wards home.

The over 200 girls were abducted from Chibok, Borno State on April 14, 2014. Most of them are still in captivity.
