Abubakar made the comment on Wednesday, March 30, 2016, after commissioning a medical laboratory in Benin City, Edo State, Vanguard reports.
“We are at the tail end of the war against Boko Haram. One of their enclaves, Alagarnu, has just been taken over. I was in the North-East a few days ago and I believe that we are at the tail end of this operation,” he said.
“The last time we came, we didn’t have a laboratory. But today, we have a well-equipped laboratory. Professionalism is not just about training and equipping the soldier but also taking care of the welfare of the soldier. A professional soldier can also fall sick. That is why we need to provide a laboratory, which we have done,” he added.
Meanwhile, Defence Minister, Mansur Dan-Ali has said that terrorist sect, Boko Haram is still in control of two local government areasin the North-East of the country.
