Terrorists steal food from Borno village, set it on fire

The terrorists stole foodstuff from Ashir in Damboa Local Government Area of the state and then set the entire village ablaze after the night-time raid.

Boko Haram terrorists, on Wednesday, November 4, 2015, attacked a remote village in Borno State, reports say.

The terrorists stole foodstuff from Ashir in Damboa Local Government Area of the state, according to Sahara Reporters.

The insurgents also reportedly set the entire village ablaze after the night-time raid.

“They came on motorcycles around 8:30pm. As a local vigilante on duty saw them he quickly alerted the villagers. Everyone fled into the nearby bushes,” local vigilante, Abubakar Jojori said.

“They went away with two vehicles, some bicycles, goats, chickens as well as all the foodstuffs including salt. But we thank Allah nobody was killed. Only a few people sustained small injuries,” he added.

The attack is yet to be confirmed by the relevant military authorities.
