More women, children rescued from Sambisa Forest [PHOTOS]

293 captives were rescued from the sect on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 and another 160 were freed on Wednesday, 29.

The Nigerian Army has, over the past week, rescued about 700 women and children from Sambisa Forest, a Boko Haram stronghold.

The Army also rescued an additional 234 women and children from the forest on Friday, May 1.

276 of the freed captives have been handed over to the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) for proper care.
