In a separate incident, four members of a family were attacked and killed on their farm by herdsmen at Tudun-Hassan Village, also in Yola, on Friday, October 27.

The clash was as a result of the herdsmen walking their cattle onto the family's farmland where the animals proceeded to destroy crops.

While the family was being attacked, a policeman who rushed to the scene to help was also reportedly killed by the herdsmen.

Another attack on a farm at Tashan Jinga Village involved herdsmen who had led their cattle onto the farmland shooting poisonous arrows at the Agro-Rangers unit of the Nigeria Security And Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Adamawa State command after the farmers had called for their help.

Even though no fatalities were recorded, three officers were injured and required medical attention.

"The Agro-Rangers were ambushed on their way to the troubled farm. They (herdsmen) laid attack even before our men can take positions.

"During this fierce battle, two officers were injured and one was beaten with sticks and macheted and is being hospitalised at Yola Specialist Hospital."

Baba also revealed that two suspects were arrested as a result of the attack.
