This might have been fuelled by Buratai’s warning to officers and men of the Army not to get involved in Politics.
The Chief of Army Staff also revealed that some politicians have been approaching Army officers.
Speaking to members of the Osun state House of Assembly, Aregbesola urged the lawmakers to issue a statement commending the Army chief for his brave move.
The Governor also called on the military authorities to investigate and bring all alleged coup plotters to book.
According to Daily Post, Aregbesola said “I have also made the strident call for a political system and practice that is best suited for our clime, which will bring inclusion and amount to real political empowerment for all the people.
“I have, after our revered leaders, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Chief Bola Ige, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and others, all convinced federalist, argued that for a plural society like ours, true federal practice is a minimum condition of statehood.
“We are so diverse as a people that anything short of true federalism is an invitation to chaos.”
Also, the All Progressives Congress (APC) leader, Bola Tinubu has against any coup plot, adding that Nigerians will resist the attempt.
