A former deputy Governor of Kano state, Alhaji Magaji Abdullahi has died at the age of 69.

Reports say Abdullahi died on Sunday, July 24, 2016, in his residence at the NNDC Quarters at Sharada, Kano state.

The former deputy Governor contested for the governorship seat in Kano state, under the Social Democratic Party in 1991.

Punch also reports that he served as the commissioner for Works, Housing and Transport and commissioner for Water Resources between 1989 and 1990.

Abdullahi has since been buried at the Dandolo graveyard at Goron Dutse in Kano according to Muslim rights.

The Kano Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, and his Deputy, Prof. Hafiz Abubakar were present at the burial ceremony.

He is survived by one wife, many children and grandchildren.
