The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has interrogated Mr. Leo Ekpeyong, an Abuja-based lawyer who wrote a petition against the former governor of Akwa Ibom State, Senator Godswill Akpabio.
EFCC grills ex-gov's petitioner
Ekpeyong had accused Akpabio of diverting huge funds belonging to Akwa Ibom state when he was governor.

The Commission invited Ekpeyong for questioning on Monday, October 26.
The allegations had necessitated the EFCC to invite Akpabio on October 16, 2015.

The Senate Minority leader was later released on administrative bail after hours of interrogation.Read:
It was gathered that Ekpeyong was grilled for hours. He was reportedly asked to make clarifications on some areas of the petition.
