According to Daily Post, Afegbua is expected to meet with the agency’s Director-General, Lawal Musa Daura.
This was made known to newsmen by Kayode Ajulo, the legal counsel to IBB’s media aide, on Wednesday, February 7, 2018.
Ajulo also said that Afegbua is slated to meet with Daura today, Thursday, February 8, 2018.
The lawyer said "Afeguba has just received a call from the DSS this evening indicating that he should come for a chat with the DG between the hours of 11am or noon on Thursday.
"My client has right to legal entitlements which every other citizen should enjoy without fear of the government or other fellow citizens.
"These are rights which cannot be said to have been given to man by man but are earned by man for being a human because they are necessary for his continuous happy existence with himself, his fellow man and for participation in a complex society. Chapter IV of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is very clear about this.
"We will be there, if that is how they want to run this country, we’ll see how far they can go with this."
How Afegbua’s trouble started
Afegbua issued a statement on Sunday, February 4, 2018, on behalf of his boss, Ibrahim Babangida.
IBB, in the statement reportedly called on Buhari not to run for President in 2019.
Later, another statement was issued, denying that Babangida authorised the initial statement which Afegbua put out.
Babangida has however cleared the air, saying that the statement denying his comments, was written by friends.
