Education minister consoles Kano State govt. over death of 6 students

The statement said the students were returning to Kano after representing the state in a nationwide competition.

A statement by Bem Goom, the Deputy Director, Press, Federal Ministry of Education on Friday in Abuja, said the accident occurred at the Lagos – Ibadan expressway on May 3.

``Malam Adamu, on behalf of the Federal Government expresses his deepest sympathy to the government and people of Kano State over the irreparable loss.

``His sympathy also goes to the parents, teachers, relatives and friends of the deceased students.

``He prays that God, in His infinite mercy, will bless the souls of the deceased with eternal bliss and give their parents and relatives the fortitude to bear this inconsolable loss,’’ the statement said.
