Michael Brown shooter says his conscience is clear

Officer Darren Wilson also said that if given the chance, he would do the same thing all over again.

A police officer who shot dead an unarmed black teenager in Ferguson, Missouri has said that he has a "clean conscience" regarding the incident.

Officer Darren Wilson also said that if given the chance, he would do the same thing all over again.

The August 9 killing of 18-year-old  Michael Brown led to protests all over the US and the November 24 decision of a grand jury not to indict Wilson has caused even more unrest in the states.

However, Wilson told ABC News that he had reason to fear for his life and was in the right to shoot Brown dead.

“The reason I have a clean conscience is because I know I did my job right. I don't think it's haunting. It's always going to be something that happened,” he said.

The officer also said that he would still have shot Brown dead if he was white.

"He charged me, he was going to kill me," Wilson said.

The officer has resigned from the force and has said that he and his wife, who he married after the incident, are hoping to lead a regular life.

Wilson shot the unarmed teenager 6 times in what many believe was a race-related killing.
