6th Sierra Leonean Doctor Tests Positive

Dr. Martin Salia, who works in Freetown, the nation’s capital, is the sixth doctor to be diagnosed with Ebola in the disease-ravaged nation.

The Ebola scourge in Sierra Leone has affected yet another of the country’s health workers as a surgeon is said to have tested positive for the disease.

Dr. Martin Salia, who works in Freetown, the nation’s capital, is the sixth doctor to be diagnosed with Ebola in the disease-ravaged nation.

Sierra Leone has lost four doctors to the current outbreak which officials say is on the increase in the country.

Dr. Salia and Dr. Godfrey George, who was the fifth doctor to be infected, are currently receiving treatment for the disease.

Health workers are especially at risk of catching Ebola due to consistent contact with patients and their highly infectious bodily fluids.
