Transport minister promises to solve crisis with railways, water ways
Nigeria's transportation system is about to get to better, the Minister of Transport, Rt Hon Rotimi Amaechi, promises.
Speaking at the First Lagos Traffic Radio Lecture Series, the minister also promised to make Nigeria's transportation system better.
In his paper entitled, “Migrating Force: The Challenges of Mass Transportation,” revealed how the traffic crisis will be solved.
According to Amaechi, there is traffic because of the reliance on road transportation alone.
He said this present administration would solve this problem by investing in railway and water ways.
The minister was supported by Professor Bamidele Badejo, who delivered a paper on “Dimensions and Challenges of Sustainable transport Management.”
Badejo also spoke on how adequate investment in other modes of transportation, like railways and waterways, would help in managing traffic in the country.
