Two days after the new law restricting articulated vehicles(truck/trailer/tankers) from moving between the hours of 6 a.m. and 9 p.m. was passed in Lagos state, a container fell off a trailer in Obanikoro.
Container falls off trailer in Lagos!
Just a few days after the Ojuelegba accident and the announcement of the new law, this happened.
Thankfully, there was no casualty, unlike the other time when a container containing cement fell off Ojuelegba bridge claiming at least 3 lives and property.
However, this incident that occurred yesterday, 9th of September, did manage to cause some traffic as motorists were forced to stick to only one side of the road.
We can hope pray that these lawless drivers be made to stick to the law before more lives are lost.
