Accidents kill over 80 people on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in 6 months

Accidents on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway are responsible for the death of over 80 people withing six months!

According to the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), all of these deaths were from different accidents along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Punch reports.

While over 80 people died, about 98 people suffered various injuries from accidents on the same highway.

In Ogun state, the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency (TRACE) has revealed a lower number of deaths, but higher number of injuries.

There were 44 deaths, and 149 injured people from 91 accidents, all along the same Expressway, within the same amount of time, January to June, 2016.

The records were obtained from cases belonging to the FRSC, TRACE, the Ogun State Police Command, and other agencies.
