7 accidents occur during 2016 Eid-el Fitri celebrations in Kwara

There were seven road traffic crashes, during the recent Eid-el Fitri celebration in Kwara state.

The recent Eid-el Fitri celebration resulted in seven road traffic crashes in Kwara state.

According to the state Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Sunday Maku, these accidents occurred in different areas, Eagleonline reports.

Speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in llorin, Maku revealed the number of deaths and injuries recorded, from these accidents.

He said there were two deaths, and nine injuries, from the accidents, involving 38 people.

Maku said 129 motorists were arrested for 137 traffic offences, while 60 vehicles were impounded, during the Sallah celebrations.
