Cocoa arrivals reach 1,766,000 T Sept. 27

Ivorian cocoa arrivals reach 1,766,000 T Sept. 27-exporters

Cocoa arrivals at ports in top grower Ivory Coast reached around 1,766,000 tonnes by Sept. 27 since the start of the season on Oct. 1, exporters estimated on Monday, up from 1,735,000 tonnes in the same period of the previous season.

Exporters estimated around 3,000 tonnes of beans were delivered to the West African state's two ports of Abidjan and San Pedro between Sept. 21 and Sept. 27, down from 17,000 tonnes during the same period last year.

Arrival estimates were updated following the publication of official figures from the Coffee and Cocoa Council last week, which showed 1,712,000 tonnes of cocoa arrived at Ivorian ports by end-August versus exporters' estimates of 1,710,000 tonnes.
