Healthcare company appoints new MD

Before joining GSK, Akshikar worked with Johnson & Johnson for more than 16 years in India, South Korea and Belgium.

The announcement was made by the company on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 via a statement.

The statement reads in part:

“Akshikar holds a post graduate MBA in Marketing and a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Mumbai, India.”

“With over two decades of working in varying positions and increasing responsibility in the health care industry, Akshikar brings rich and broad commercial experience to the GSK Nigeria business.”

Akshikar joined GSK Nigeria in January 2017 from Mumbai, India, where he served as Executive Vice President, GSK India.

Before joining GSK, Akshikar worked with Johnson & Johnson for more than 16 years in India, South Korea and Belgium.
