Mobile technology brand launches mobile phones, tablets in Nigeria

This is the ninth African country where AG mobile devices are available and the first where AG Mobile has launched independently of a retail partner.

This is the ninth African country where AG mobile devices are available and the first where AG Mobile has launched independently of a retail partner.

The AG Mobile Nigeria range launched include AG Zoom and AG Boost (which run on Android 4.4 KitKat) and AG Ghost and AG Style (which run on Android 5.0 Lollipop). Each of the devices comes preloaded with BBM, WhatsApp, WeChat, Instagram, Facebook and Google Play Store.

The devices launched are sold at over 40 and still growing retail outlets including Ringo Arena in Lagos, Abuja, Kano, and Port Harcourt. The recommended retail prices of the devices are:

  • AG Ghost:  N45,500
  • AG Style:  N19,200
  • AG Zoom:  N9,000
  • AG Boost:  10,400

Speaking on the launch of the Nigeria range, AG Mobile CEO Anthony Goodman said “This development forms part of the brand’s expansion strategy to provide more Africans with affordable, quality products while investing in markets that offer mutually beneficial opportunities. As a proudly African brand we believe that we will bring great value to Nigeria.
