Google's Head of Retail Ted Souder explains the need for creation and innovation

“Innovation is the key to everything in every industry" says Souder.

December 2015 saw Access Bank host its second leadership symposium. This year's theme was "Leading in a Transformational World - The Imperative of Innovation".

Google’s Head of Retail Ted Souder was present at the Access Conference in Lagos on December 10, 2015.

In the last couple of years, technology and modernization have brought a lot of change to several markets and industries. Pulse Nigeria spoke to Souder about the importance of innovation in business.

“Innovation is the key to everything in every industry. If you are not innovating, if you are not thinking about the future, it’s really easy to fall behind really quickly”, he said.

In his interview he pointed out that the “deep mobile adoption” by Nigerians could help new emerging brands and business in country.

The Access Conference 2015 presented success stories from several industry leaders including Herbert Wigwe, CEO and Group Managing Director Access Bank, Former President Costa Rica Jose-Maria Figueres, media entrepreneur Chude Jideonwo, Creative Brand Strategist at Twitter Jonathan Henning, Founder LDA, Lanre DaSilva Ajayi, European fashion expert Kinvara Balfour and several others.
