“The Encounter” Jimi Agbaje, Don Jazzy, OC Ukeje attend movie screening

The Encounter” has had a special screening in Lagos. The viewing was hosted at Genesis Deluxe Cinema, the Palms, on Saturday 5 December, 2015.

The Trino studio’s production was watched by Lagos socialites and celebrities including Betty Irabor, Jimi Agbaje, Ibukun Awosika, Bolanle Austen-Peters, Don Jazzy, OC Ukeje and Lamide Akintobi.

“The Encounter” is a historical fiction drama that explores the Nigerian civil war through a series of encounters between Leader of Biafra, General Odumegwu Ojukwu (played by George Ojefua) and Major Emmanuel Ifeajuna (played by Amarachukwu Onoh).

The film directed by Tolu Ajayi is an adaptation of a short story with the same title by historian, Henry Chukwuemeka Onyema.

The film was first shown at the 2015 Africa International Film Festival in Lagos on November 8, 2015.
