The trailer features Tom Hanks as the founder of a tech company who believes that transparency is the key to realization of potentials. "Without secrets, without the hoarding of knowledge and information, we can finally realize our potential,” says Hanks in the trailer.

An adaptation of Dave Eggers’ novel, the upcoming American science-fiction drama stars Emma Watson, Tom Hanks, John Boyega, Patton Oswalt, Bill Paxton, Karen Gillan, and Ellar Coltrane.

Written and to be directed by Ponsoldt, 'The Circle' is being produced by Tom Hanks alongside Gary Goetzman, Anthony Bregman, and Ponsoldt.

'The Circle' is a 2013 novel which chronicles tech worker Mae Holland as she joins a powerful Internet company which starts out as an incredibly rewarding experience, but as she works there longer things start to fall apart.

The film is scheduled to be released on April 28, 2017.
