Group of racists threaten to boycott movie over black lead

A group of racists have launched a movement urging the Boycott of ‘Star Wars: Episode VII’ over black leads.

A group of Twitter users launched the hastag #BoycottStarWarsVII, claiming that the upcoming 'Star Wars : Force Awakens' is anti-white, promotes white genocide and is aimed at 'demoralizing and destroying Whites.'

The above stated theory stems from the fact that the movie features black actor John Boyega as Finn, a stormtrooper, and one of the leads.

The racist trolls also claimed that the movie lacked white actors.

A Twitter account named after the controversial hashtag has been created to promote the hate-filled hastag.

The inclusion of a black stormtropper; John Boyega, in the movie caused quite a stir on social media in November 2014.

Many fans took to the internet to criticize the director of the movie, J.J Abrams, for casting a black actor to play a stormtrooper.

The controversial response led to the hashtag #blackstormtrooper to become as a trending topic on Twitter.

In a recent interview with V Magazine, the actor described the reaction as unnecessary;

“I’m in the movie, what are you going to do about it? You either enjoy it or you don’t. I’m not saying get used to the future. It's is already happening. People of colour and women are increasingly being shown on screen. For things to be whitewashed just doesn’t make sense," he said.
