Emem Isong, Judith Audu, Linda Ejiofor attend movie premiere

Eric Aghimien's "Slow Country" which won Sambasa Nzeribe an AMVCA, recently premiered in Lagos, Nigeria.

The premiere of the anticipated action thriller held at the Genesis Cinemas, Lekki, with Emem Isong, Judith Audu, Wole Ojo, Olumide Oworu, Belinda Effa, Linda Ejiofor, Bassey Ekpeyong among others.

About "Slow Country"

A homeless teenage mother, who gets herself trapped in prostitution and drug trafficking for seven years in order to secure a good life for her son, decides to quit.

However, her boss, a ruthless human and drug trafficker is not ready to let go of his most trusted cash cow.

"Slow Country" stars  Ivie Okujaiye-Egboh as Kome, Sambasa Nzeribe as Tuvi, Tope Tedela as Osas, and Majid Michel as Inspector Dave.

Others include Richard Brutus as Brasko, Gina Castel as Ola, Adebayo Thomas as Peter, Victor Eriabie, Imoudu ‘DJ Moe’ Ayonete and Shola Thompson-Adewale.

The movie earned Sambasa his second consecutive AMVCA win in the Best Actor in a Drama category, while Ivie Okujaye was also nominated in the Best Actress category for her role in the movie.

"Slow Country" also won the Audience Choice Award at the 2016 Africa International Film Festival.

The movie premieres in cinemas on May 19, 2017.
