Ahead of its December 23 release, Martin Scorsese’s highly anticipated feature film, "Silence," will screen at the Vatican.

The movie will screen on November 29 to an audience including several Jesuit priests, New York Times reports. It has not been confirmed if  Pope Francis, a Jesuit, will be in attendance.

"Silence" is not the first movie to be promoted by the Vatican. In 2003, Mel Gibson's "Passion of the Christ" was endorsed by Pope John Paul after a private screening.
