In a recent poll conducted by Pulse Movies, 28.6% of Pulse Movies readers chose Bimbo Akintola as their best actress for her role in the movie "93 Days."
16.1% chose Rita Dominic for her role as Suzy in the historical drama "76." 12.5% chose Ireti Doyle and Ngozi Nwosu for their roles in "The Arbitration" and "Skinny Girl in Transit" respectively.
10.7% of the readers chose Somkele Idhalama for her role as Ada in Steve Gukas' "93 Days," and 8.9% went for Adesua Etomi for her role in the Niyi Akinmolayan movie, The Arbitration."
The talented Bimbo Akintola plays the late Dr. Ameyo Stella Adadevoh in the movie "93 Days." Ameyo of First Consultants Hospital alongside other doctors prevented the spread of deadly Ebola virus disease in Nigeria.
Speaking about her role to Pulse Nigeria in an interview, the actress said, "It was an honour, and the woman was obviously a saint. She must have had her [you know] but she was amazing. In Nigeria, we have this thing we do, anyone who is dead is great. But this was different in the sense that everyone I spoke to had little stories to tell me about different things."
Akintola's character in the movie already earned her a best actress award at the 2016 Africa International Film Festival.
