From a scheming Andre to a love-hate relationship between Lucious and Cookie, what would you love to see when "Empire" returns for a third season?

Cookie and Lucious Lyon in Empire

In undefined, Lucious got married, and the season ended with the possible death of a Lyon.

While viewers anticipate the return of "Empire," we have put together five things we would love to see when the show returns.

1. A scheming Andre

Who doesn't miss the crazy Andre from season 1, who was cunning, manipulative and fun to watch?

Ever since he found the Lord and was baptized, the character has come off as underdeveloped. A problem we hope the show creators fix in the upcoming third season of the show.

A lot of viewers were part of the "Empire" craze in 2015 when the show made its debut, because of its playlist. When the show returned for its second season, it had lost its music sense and presented fans with average songs, forgotten after an episode aired.

3. Jamal's sexuality

After viewers had accepted Jamal's sexual orientation, the show came up with a 'let's get them confused' strategy which is more annoying than confusing or shocking. While we are all in support of a 'Skye and Jamal' relationship/chemistry, there's need to put a stop to cliche plots aimed at appealing to human emotions.

4. More of Lucious and Cookie

Despite the show fast becoming a boring and tolerable one, Cookie and Lucious' love-hate relationship is undoubtedly one of the reasons you're still hooked. Despite the 'unexpected' end of its second season, we are hoping the show finds a way to entertain viewers with the duo's on-screen chemistry, without creating a predictable situation - we already have Olivia and Fitz to thank for an annoying but hot on-screen chemistry.

5. Rhonda and Anika

We have heard it a countless time "an important cast will die in season 3," but we look forward to seeing a plot that doesn't kill off Anika to create more of Lucious and Cookie moments. While Rhonda is an entertaining character, Anika's does more to develop the story. Anika's survival should birth a tension that could resurrect the boring TV series.
