Premiere episode of show beats 'Spartacus' to set new ratings record

'Power' has indeed proven to be powerful as its season 2 premiere beats 'Spartacus' to emerge 'most watched episode in Starz network history.

With 3.62 million viewers, 'Power's season 2 premiere, which aired Saturday, June 6, set a new record for most ever viewers for a Starz originals series, beating the hit TV series 'Spartacus'.

The show’s viewership has upped by 79 percent since its premiere.

Created by Courtney Kemp Agboh and produced by rapper Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, 'Power' premiered on June 7, 2014.
