Oscar winner Nicole Kidman and Twilight heartthrob, Robert Pattinson will be heading to Morocco, Africa to shoot a new film, Queen of the Desert, according to reports. The actress is likely to replace her friend, Naomi Watts, who ‘stepped away’ from the project in January 2012.
Kidman disclosed to reporters on Friday night at the Variety’s Power of Women event,L.A, that the deal isn't ‘all signed, sealed and delivered. But it’s certainly in rapid sort of motion’. However, she is prepping to meet the Twilight vampire’s (Pattinson) huge fan base during their stay in Morocco.
“That’s OK. I’ll be ready. I think they’ll have a tough time finding us over there in Morocco, won’t they?” She laughed.
Queen of the Desert is a period piece about a British reporter, writer, traveler, archaeologist and spy, Gertrude Bell. Robert Pattinson will play a British army officer, T.A Lawrence while James Franco, who replaced Jude Law as male lead, will play British diplomat Henry Cadogan.
The movie is directed by Werner Herzog
