Actress joins Harrison Ford, Ryan Gosling for "Blade Runner" sequel

Mackenzie Davis is the latest addition to upcoming sequel to Ridley Scott’s 1982 "Blade Runner" movie.

Davis joins , undefined(reprising his role as Rick Deckard), Robin Wright, Dave Bautista, Ana de Armas, Sylvia Hoeks and Carla Juri.

To be directed by Denis Villeneuve and executive produced by Ridley Scott, its 1982 original movie is considered one of the greatest science-fiction film of all time.

Harrison Ford who starred in the 1982 sci-fi film will reprise his character as replicant hunter.

The original film starred Ford alongside Rutger Hauer, Sean Young, and Edward James Olmos, and a modified film adaptation of the 1968 novel "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" by Philip K. Dick.

About original movie

The film depicts a dystopian Los Angeles in which genetically engineered replicants, which are visually indistinguishable from adult humans, are manufactured by the powerful Tyrell Corporation.

Originally scheduled for a January 12, 2018 release, the sequel has been moved up to  October 6, 2017.
