Netflix renews show for fifth season

Netflix has announced that "House of Cards" will return for a fifth season in 2017.

The political Drama will be returning for a fifth season in 2017.

According to The Hollywood Reporter has handed out an early season-five renewal for the political drama.

According to the report, the  showrunner Beau Willimon will not return for the fifth season.

"House of Cards" is an American political drama television series developed and produced by Beau Willimo.

An adaptation of the BBC's mini series of the same name, the show tells the story of Frank Underwood, a Democrat from South Carolina's 5th congressional district and House Majority Whip, who after being passed over for appointment as Secretary of State, initiates an elaborate plan to get himself into a position of greater power, aided by hi wife Claire Underwood.

"House of Cards"  will return for a fourth season on March 4, 2016 for a new season.
