"Fences" stars Washington alongside Viola Davis, Jovan Adepo, Stephen Henderson, Russell Hornsby, Mykelti Williamson, and Saniyya Sidney.
Set in 1950s Pittsburgh, the film follows a former Negro league baseball player, now working as a waste collector, who struggles to provide for his family and come to terms with the events of his life.
An emotional clip, the trailer features Troy (Washington) in an heated conversation with his son, who he denies his dream of playing college football.

“It’s not easy for me to admit I’ve been standing in the same place for 18 years,” he says in the closing moments of the clip to his wife Rose. “Well I’ve been standing with you. I gave 18 years of my life to stand in the same spot as you,” she responds.
"Fences" premieres on December 25, 2016.
