Following rumors that Daniel Craig is leaving the Bond franchise, Emilia Clarke is the latest actress to show interest in playing James Bond.
As the rumours continue to circulate that Daniel Craig won’t return for the fifth time as the British Spy, lots of names have popped up as potential replacement, and Emilia Clarke is the latest to toss in her hat in the ring.
In an interview with Daily Star, the HBO Mother of Dragons revealed that she would love to play the British spy.
“I have a lot of unrealized dreams,” she said. “I would love to play Jane Bond.”
On Bond boy, she said, “My ultimate leading man would be Leonardo DiCaprio. No doubt about it.”
Clarke joins a list of wannabe female Bonds including, Elizabeth Banks who told Entertainment Weekly that she would like to play the secret agent.
Recently, Gillian Anderson retweeted a fan-made poster of herself as 007, while Priyanka Chopra revealed her interest in 2015.
Following reports that Daniel Craig would not return as James Bond, Sam Mendes recently confirmed on Saturday, May 28, 2016, that he will not direct the next James Bond film.
