Watch trailer for film on murder of 10-yr-old Nigerian boy in London

"Damilola, Our Loved Boy" tells the story of Damilola Taylor, a 10-year-old Nigerian boy who was murdered in London 16 years ago.

BBC One has produced a 90-minute feature length drama titled "Damilola, Our Loved Boy,"  which tells the story of Damilola Taylor from the point of view of the Taylor family.

The film also explores his journey from Lagos to London, the emotional repercussions of Damilola's death and the family's quest for justice.

Born December 7, 1989, Damilola was a ten-year-old Nigerian schoolboy who died in England in what became one of the country's most high-profile killings. On November 27, 2000, Taylor was captured on CCTV as he walked home from Peckham Library.  On his way home, he received a laceration to his left thigh. He ran to a stairwell where he collapsed and bled to near death in space of 30 minutes.

"Damilola, Our Loved Boy" is written by Levi David Addai and directed by Euros Lyn. It is produced by  Susan Horth and Executive Produced by Colin Barr, Lucy Richer and Clare Sillery.

The film stars Babou Ceesay as Damilola's father, Richard Taylor OBE. It also stars Wunmi Mosaku as Gloria Taylor; Damilola's mother who passed away on April 7, 2008.

"Damilola, Our Loved Boy"  will premiere on BBC on November 7, 2016.
