"ATM" Lancelot Imaseun's movie to screen at Denton Black Film Festival

"ATM" stars Alexx Ekubo as Robinson, a young man who believes the only way he can succeed is to travel overseas.

Lancelot Imaseun's "ATM" (Authentic Tentative Marriage) has been selected to screen at the Denton Black Film Festival in January 2017.

The movie which stars Yvonne Jegede, Francis Odega, and social media comedian and Nigerian culture enthusiast Oyinbo Princess whose real name is Claire Edun.

Synopsis

A young man in his late 20s-Robinson-who believes the only way he can succeed is to travel overseas, and an easy way out is surfing through the internet for an online date. Luck smiles on him as he hooks up with a white prospective lady, Emilia. He starts financial extortion in the pretence that he is preparing the marital rites.


Meanwhile, he has a Nigerian girlfriend, Caroline, who has been taking care of him and his uncle, Gbenga.
Robinson convinced Caroline to go along with his plan on the agreement that he was going to divorce Emilia after six months, inherit her wealth and marry Caroline. When Emilia arrived Nigeria, Robinson got the shock of his life...through the eyes of the foreigner, our nation's greatness is revealed

The movie which premiered in Nigeria on Friday, May 6, 2016, also screened at the Capital City black Film Festival at Austin Texas in August 2016.
