2. Australian director George Miller, who premiered his movie "Mad Max: Fury Road" at the Cannes in 2015, was announced as the president of the Jury for the main competition.

3. French actor Laurent Lafitte will host the opening and closing ceremonies.

4. "Cafe Society," a film by Woody Allen, has been selected to open the festival.

5. Japanese director Naomi Kawase would serve as the Short Film Jury president.
