​This tech start-up wants to reverse aging by harvesting young people's blood

Ambrosia LLC is a company dedicated to supplying older, wealthier Americans with the healthy, life-giving blood of citizens aged 25 and under.

For the purposes of "reversing aging," Ambrosia is offering transfusions for $8,000. As of now, CNBC reports, there are about 100 blood customers signed up.

Members of this exclusive club must be 35 years or older, but the company's founder says that most of its current clients are of retirement age.

He also notes that the process isn't guaranteed to reverse aging, but hopes that these initial entrants will be able to serve as the guinea pigs for this potentially revolutionary treatment.

The science behind this type of procedure is murky, but the idea has been no less beloved by those who are wealthy enough to potentially benefit.

Noted Silicon Valley investor Peter Thiel is a backer of the company, and his desire to maintain his longevity has been spoofed by the popular HBO comedy Silicon Valley.

Truly, there's nothing more creepy than an extremely rich human being using the blood of those who need to sell their blood to survive, but, well, here we are.

One imagines that the apocalypse shelters of our country's wealthiest individuals are now being stocked wall-to-wall with blood bags as we speak, if they haven't been already.
