Justice Wike’s comment is in reference to President Muhammadu Buhari saying that his wife, Aisha belongs to the kitchen, bedroom and other room.

The Rivers First Lady reportedly made the comment on Sunday, October 23, during a service held at the Saint Thomas Anglican Church in Diobu, Port Harcourt.

“I belong to the kitchen, I belong to the living room and I belong to every room created by God, so also other women. We are created by God to do more. In my own case as a judicial officer, I also belong to the courtroom. Other women belong to different rooms, depending on their professional calling,” she said.

“Women are very important to the development of any community. They form a larger percentage of the workforce that keeps the society,” she added.

Buhari made the comment during an official trip to Germany after his wife challenged his leadership.

Mrs Buhari told the BBC that her husband’s administration had been hijacked by a cabal.
