Financial institution, NGO partner to empower women

Rosabon Financial Services teams up with MamaMoni, a Non-Governmental Organisation, to empower 23 women as part of their 23rd year anniversary events.

The 23 Women Empowerment Project

For over 20 years, Rosabon Financial Services, a subsidiary of The Concept Group, has been providing world class financial products and services to reputable companies and individuals across different sectors of the economy.

Over the years, we have achieved great feats and recognition in our field, the most recent being our award from internationally acclaimed CFI for being the Best SME Financial Advisory in Nigeria in 2015.

As part of our 23rd anniversary celebrations, we are doing what we know how to do best, giving back to the society in our own way with 'The 23 Women Empowerment Project'

In an effort to encourage women empowerment and promote indigenous production, Rosabon, in partnership with MamaMoni, a Non-Governmental Organization focused on skills acquisition for women, has provided training and soft grants for 23 industrious women chosen from various rural communities across Lagos State.

These women are involved in various crafts including farming, fashion designing, soap making, fish farming and other chemical productions got the grant to expand their businesses. At the cheque presentation on Monday, April 18 at Satellite Town, Lagos, the 23 women expressed their joy and satisfaction at the support received from Rosabon.

Nkem Okocha, founder, MamaMoni expressed her delight at the partnership, saying “I am very happy that Rosabon Financial Services chose to give 23 of my women business grant to grow their businesses, with these money they can buy raw materials in large quantity to increase their supply which in turn leads to greater profits."

"My prayer is that Rosabon will continue to partner with us, so we can reach more women and help them break the cycle of poverty.”

Speaking on the project, Chukwuma Ochonogor, MD/CEO Rosabon noted: “This anniversary celebration is more about reflecting on our past and realizing what the future has in store for our great company while making our communities better places, hence the need for this project.”

“Women are becoming great players in the economy, so it is of paramount importance that they get the right empowerment. At Rosabon, we have a societal outlook and recognize the importance of working together for the greater good. We are fully committed to this project and will keep it on for as long as possible.” He concluded.
