Numbering about 500, the protesters took to the streets of Abuja on Thursday, October 13, 2016, carrying different placards.

President of the group, Bassey Williams blamed the current economic situation on the activities of Niger Delta militants and the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

He advised all aggrieved groups in the country to sheathe their swords for the good of all Nigerians.

“We are passing the vote of confidence on President Muhammadu Buhari; the CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele; minister of finance, Kemi Adeosun and other members of his team," Bassey said.

Speaking on the raid of homes of some judges by officials of the Department of State Service (DSS), Bassey noted that it was part of federal government's commitment to fighting corruption.

Recall the Senator Dino Melaye had called for the immediate sack of Godwin Emefiele, Kemi Adeosun and the minister of budget, Udo Udoma over alleged incompetence.
