Edo leaders vow to resist any attempt to remove APC Chairman

The elders also called on Tinubu to join hands with Oyegun to move the party forward.

All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairman, John Oyegun (L) and President Buhari (R)

A group, under the aegis of the Concerned Edo Leaders of Thought (CELT) told newsmen that they will resist any attempt to remove Oyegun.

CELT called on the APC National Leader, Bola Tinubu to join hands with Oyegun to move the party forward.

According to Vanguard, the group also said those calling for the removal of the APC Chairman, are doing so to serve their selfish purposes.

According to Vanguard, Col Paul Ogbebor (rtd), the President of CELT, said “Nigerians are aware that no one can be blamed for the current problems besetting the APC and indeed the nation’s economy. To do otherwise is an attempt to give a dog a bad name in order to hang it.”

The All Progressives Congress (APC) spokesman, Timi Frank, had earlier called for Oyegun’s resignation.
