Acting President appoints new Solicitor-General of the Federation

Apata had served as solicitor-general and permanent secretary of the ministry of justice in Ekiti when Kayode Fayemi was the governor of the State.

The Presidency announced this in a statement issued on Friday, August 11.

Apata had served as solicitor-general and permanent secretary of the ministry of justice in Ekiti between 2010 and 2014 - Kayode Fayemi was the state governor at the time.

He also served as a legal adviser at the National Planning Ministry and also held several sensitive assignments.
