Police Commissioner tasks policemen on cattle rustling, others

Sokoto Police Commissioner has said that the command would not tolerate cattle rustling and other  criminal activities in the state .

The Commissioner of Police, Alhaji Mohammed Abdulkadir, gave the directive while addressing officers and men of the command in Isa and Sabon-Birni divisions on Wednesday.

“I don’t want to hear any report of cattle rustling in your respective areas of jurisdiction, ” Abdulkadir  said.

He said that the command would not tolerate cattle rustling and other  criminal activities in the state .

He said effective operational order had since been issued to the Divisional Police Officers across the state to work toward ending cattle rustling in the area.

” We will do all that we can to ensure the arrest and prosecution of criminals in our resolve to sustain the peaceful nature our state is known for, ” he said.

The commissioner appealed to the people of the state to always give the command  intelligence reports that could lead to the arrest of criminals.

“We are battle ready to confront any form of criminality in the state through well coordinated security measures already put in place,” he warned.
