Panic as policemen, soldiers clash inside banking hall

Report said a canister of tear gas was shot inside the banking hall filled with customers, as people scampered to safety.

According to The Nation, the incident occurred around 11 am, and disrupted activities in the bank for several hours.

Report said a canister of tear gas was shot inside the banking hall filled with customers, as people scampered for safety.

It was gathered that the incident took a new turn when more mobile policemen invaded the bank and a contingent of soldiers also landed, shooting sporadically into the air.

After a while they all got inside the bank, to sort the issue, after which they got out and left in their vehicles, report said.
