ABUJA — President Muhammadu Buhari, yesterday, directed the Acting Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, to reopen investigation into the unresolved murder of former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Chief Bola Ige, and ex-Deputy National Chairman, South-South, of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Aminosari Dokubo, and fish out the perpetrators.NNPC costs Nigeria $518m in oil deals — NEITIABUJA — The Federal Government lost approximately $518 million to oil swap and Offshore Processing Agreements, OPAs, in 2013 due to inefficiencies of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, and its subsidiaries.Violation of TSA: Accountant General queries GTB, Stanbic IBTC, Keystone bankThe Accountant General of the Federation (AGF) has queried Guaranty Trust Bank, Stanbic IBTC and Keystone Bank for violating the Treasury Single Accounts (TSA) guidelines by concealing funds belonging to Ministries, Departments and Agencies of Fhe federal Government.  Stanbic IBTC however rejected the accusation, saying it has been complying with the TSA directive, while GTBank explained why it has allowed some MDAs to continue to operate their accounts contrary to the TSA directive.

Buhari: coup no longer acceptable to change govt

President Muhammadu Buhari has joined other world leaders to condemn the aborted coup in Turkey. He said the toppling of a government through a coup was no longer acceptable. The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Peoples Democratic party (PDP) also condemned the plot.

CBN okays no deposit for new accounts

The directive is contained in the Monetary, Credit, Foreign Trade and Exchange Guidelines for Fiscal Years 2016/2017 guidelines posted by the CBN on its website.
